Mamut & MYOB


Mamut  bought the UK distribution rights for the MYOB products (Mac & Windows) back in 2008.  The MYOB Windows products are no longer supported by Mamut and support for the MYOB Mac products ended in April 2011- but see below. 


The MYOB data file reconfirmation process (Mac & Windows) will be terminated at some point in the future.  This will prevent continued use of the products other than in 'read only' mode from the first occasion on which a user's data file requests reconfirmation after that date. 


Mac products: the way forward


The MYOB Mac products (now called AccountEdge) are being republished in the UK by Mamut and are known as Mamut AccountEdge. Existing users will be able to use their MYOB products until some point in the future -  exact date not yet specified -  (unless they want to upgrade earlier) and then upgrade to the new product (additional charges will apply). 


The switch from a MYOB Mac product to Mamut AccountEdge is a straightforward upgrade just like the version upgrades with the old MYOB products.

Windows products


MYOB Windows products are no longer available in the UK.


Mamut’s mandatory service agreements


Mamut’s policy is to impose a mandatory annual service agreement on their products and this applies to the AccountEdge range including upgrades from MYOB. The service agreement gives you all version upgrades released in the year plus telephone and email support from Mamut. It must be renewed annually or access to your data file will be blocked; it can however be accessed by anyone with a current licence- us or your accountant for example.
